Envoi International Open Poetry Competitions Guidelines

Envoi International Poetry Competition 154:

next c losing date 20th October 2009 – Adjudicator: Ann Drysdale

Please note new prizes – the value remains the same or slightly increased, but future prizes will be awarded in poetry collections to the value (or higher) of former cash prizes – 20, 15 and 8 collections respectively from Cinnamon Press.

  • Prizes of poetry books to the value of over £150, £100 and £50 are awarded, plus complimentary copy for each winner and runner up and 3 annual subscriptions to runners up.
  • Entries must be made by post.
  • Enclose sae or IRCs. Deadline for submissions – 20 th February, 20 th June and 20 th October. Poems should be on a separate sheet.
  • Please do not put any identification on the poem/s, but enclose a separate sheet with name, address, email contact and titles of poems.
  • You can submit any number of poems provided the correct fee is paid.
  • Poems can be in any style, on any theme, up to 40 lines.
  • Poems should be previously unpublished and not be simultaneously submitted to other competitions.
  • Copyright remains with the author.
  • Work will not be returned, so please keep a copy.
  • You can normally expect a reply by the date of the next magazine.
  • The editor reserves the right to make small changes to spelling/ grammar.
  • Entry is £3 per poem or five poems for £12
  • Please make cheques payable to 'Cinnamon Press' From UK stirling accounts only. Non UK entrants should pay by Pay Pal (see below)
